Data Processing Agreement

Last updated: 15 June 2026

This Data Processing Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between you (the “User”) and Finn Intelligence Ltd (the “Controller”). By accepting this Agreement during registration, you provide explicit informed consent under UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and Article 7 for the processing described below.

1. Controller identity

Finn Intelligence Ltd
Registered in England and Wales
Data Protection contact: privacy@thefinnews.com

2. Data we process

By accepting this Agreement, you consent to Finn Intelligence Ltd processing the following personal data:

  • Name — as provided via your account registration (Google OAuth or direct registration).
  • Email address — used for account communication and transactional emails.
  • Subscription preferences — asset classes, regions, sectors, and categories you select, used to personalise your market intelligence alerts.
  • Telegram chat ID — used solely to deliver alerts to your Telegram account.
  • Payment identifiers — your Revolut payment reference, used to manage your subscription.

3. Purpose of processing

Your data is processed exclusively to:

  • Create and maintain your Finn account.
  • Deliver personalised market intelligence alerts via Telegram.
  • Process and manage your subscription payments via Revolut.
  • Send transactional service emails (account confirmation, subscription updates, important notices).
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

4. No sale of data

Your personal data is never sold, rented, or traded to third parties. Data is shared only with processors necessary to operate the service (Supabase, Revolut, Telegram) under appropriate data processing agreements.

5. Data retention

Personal data is retained for the duration of your subscription plus 12 months, after which it is deleted, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records retained 7 years under UK law). This Agreement record is retained for 7 years.

6. Your rights

You may at any time request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing privacy@thefinnews.com. You may also delete your account directly from the dashboard. Deletion requests will be actioned within 30 days.

You may withdraw consent at any time; however, as data processing is necessary to deliver the service, withdrawal of consent will result in termination of your access to Finn. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal.

7. International transfers

Data may be processed by sub-processors whose servers are located outside the UK. All such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards including UK GDPR Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

8. Contact and complaints

For questions about this Agreement or our data practices, contact privacy@thefinnews.com. If you believe we have breached UK GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
